Explaining Invisalign® & Angel Aligners
Invisalign® and Angel Aligners are custom-made, clear plastic trays that fit snugly around the teeth and gently shift them into their proper positions.
They are nearly invisible, making them an excellent choice for those looking to straighten their teeth without drawing attention to the procedure.
Amongst the many benefits of wearing Angel Aligners or Invisalign®, the one that stands out is its user-friendly feature. They are removable, so you can eat, drink, and brush your teeth as usual. Every few weeks, you will switch to a new set of aligners, each designed to bring your teeth closer to their optimal alignment.
Why Choose Clear Aligners Over Traditional Braces?
Most people associate traditional braces with a mouthful of metal and years of pain. Angel Aligners and Invisalign® change the game by providing a slew of unrivalled benefits:
- Aesthetic and discreet teeth straightening option: The aligners are nearly invisible due to their use of clear BPA-free resin. This means you can go about your day with confidence, whether at work, socialising, or smiling for a photo.
- Comfortable and painless: These clear aligners are tailor-designed to fit snugly over your teeth. They are soft, mouldable and easy on the gums; they have no metal brackets or wires to worry about, and you’ll experience no irritation of your gums and cheeks.
- Convenience: The primary benefit of undergoing Angel Aligners or Invisalign treatment is its flexibility and ease of use. As you remove the aligners while eating, you don’t have to avoid hard or sticky foods, unlike with braces.
- Values your time: One of the benefits of clear aligner treatment is that you don’t have to make as many trips to the dentist. Typically, you’ll only need to visit us at Taylored Dental Care every 6-8 weeks for a quick review of the treatment progress.
- Whether you have minor misalignment or more complex dental issues, such as underbites, crossbites, gaps, or deep bites, clear aligners can produce results comparable to traditional braces and sometimes achieve them faster.
- Optimal oral health: You change nothing of your brushing and flossing habits; remove the aligners during the oral hygiene routines. Consequently, it does not attract and hold residual food particles, keeping your gums healthy.
- Customised treatment and digital workflows: Every clear aligner treatment is unique and tailor-made. Taylored Dental Care uses advanced 3D imaging technology to make a personalised treatment plan that shows how your teeth will move step by step. Before we begin, you can even review a preview of your desired smile virtually in a matter of seconds—the SMILE PREVIEW.
- Affordability: Although the upfront cost in Bradford may seem considerable, we offer affordable and flexible payment options throughout the treatment process to make it easier for you to receive treatment. We provide third-party payment options, co-payment plans, and interest-free alternatives.
Who Can Benefit from Angel Aligners or Invisalign®?
Clear aligner treatment can resolve an array of teeth alignment issues:
- Crowded teeth occur when there is insufficient space in your jaw, causing your teeth to overlap or twist.
- Gaps between teeth: Excessive or uneven gaps can harm your smile and oral health.
- Misaligned bites, whether overbite, underbite, or crossbite, can impair jaw function and result in long-term tooth wear.
- An imbalanced bite causes pain in the jaw joint or TMJ.
- Cheek bites, lip bites, food lodgements, and other similar incidents occur frequently.
- Malformations of the teeth, palate, and other structures can cause speech problems.
In short, Invisalign® or Angel Aligners in Idle could be the best treatment option for you.

Clear Aligners for Nervous Patients
We understand that going to the dentist can be intimidating, especially if you are nervous about dental procedures. That is why Invisalign® and Angel Aligners are excellent choices for patients concerned about traditional orthodontic procedures. The method is gentle, non-invasive, and designed with your comfort in mind. Here’s why it is best for nervous patients:
- No drilling or bonding: Clear aligners fit your teeth without the need for drilling, bonding painful attachments, or making adjustments.
- Slow, low-pressure, painless and discreet: The clear aligners are subtle, so you won’t feel any pain during your treatment. The aligners apply minimal pressure on the teeth from all sides, and you can remove them at your convenience. Clear aligner chewies are designed to help you manage the slight discomfort during the initial days of treatment.
- Minimal appointments: Unlike traditional braces, clear aligners require fewer dental visits. You’ll visit us at Taylored Dental Care for quick check-ups to monitor your progress, with no lengthy procedures.

Angel Aligners & Invisalign®: What Can They Fix?
Open bite
An Open bite is when your upper and lower teeth don’t touch when you close your mouth. An open bite can make it hard for you to chew or difficult to bite even the most common of food like apples.
Gaps between teeth
Gaps between teeth is when there is extra space between two or more of your teeth. This can cause pockets between your teeth and gums and can cause food to get stuck making them tender and sore. This might also lead to gum disease.
Crowded teeth
Crowded teeth is a condition where you do not have enough room for your teeth to fit normally. This can cause plaque or tartar and other harmful bacteria to build up as it is harder for you to brush and floss well.
Deep bite
A deep bite is a more severe form of overbite where the upper teeth excessively cover the lower teeth. Invisalign can help redistribute pressure and reposition teeth to create a healthier, more comfortable bite relationship.
Overbite
An overbite is when your upper front teeth overlap with your lower front teeth. Most people have at least a little overbite. When your overbite is too large, your doctor might tell you you have a deep bite. This can cause problems, from your teeth wearing down to pain in your jaw.
Underbite
An underbite is when you close your mouth and your lower front teeth are in front of your upper teeth. In many cases, this is actually a problem with your lower jaw being too far forward. An underbite can make it hard to chew properly and speak clearly, and it might cause your teeth to wear down more quickly.
Affordable Clear Aligner Treatment
Many people worry about the cost of invisible braces, and so we have devised a number of payment plans to help you afford the right treatment. Clear aligners from £2.50 per day with our finance options.
Faqs
How much do clear aligners cost UK?
Across the UK, clear aligner treatment usually costs £3,000 to £5,000 depending on how much movement is needed and how long the treatment will run. At our Shipley practice, Invisalign starts at £3,000, with 0% finance over 12 months to spread the cost. We’ll give you an exact price after your free consultation.
Are clear aligners as effective as braces?
For most everyday straightening problems (gaps, crowding, bite irregularities) clear aligners achieve the same outcome as traditional braces. Movement can be slightly slower with aligners than with metal brackets, but the upside is that they’re discreet and removable for eating and cleaning. We’ll check at your consultation whether they’re the right fit for your teeth.
Can you get Invisalign on the NHS?
Aligners aren’t available on the NHS. The NHS only funds traditional metal fixed braces, and only for children or adults with serious orthodontic need. Adults who want clear aligners pay privately, and at our Shipley practice we offer 0% finance over 12 months to make Invisalign more affordable.
How long do clear aligners take to straighten teeth?
Average treatment time is 12 to 18 months, with mild cases finishing in around 6 months and more involved ones reaching 24. What drives the length is mainly how much movement is needed and how disciplined you are about wearing the aligners for the full 20 to 22 hours each day.
Do I have to wear clear aligners all the time?
Almost. The rule of thumb is 20 to 22 hours per day, every day, including overnight, with breaks only for eating, drinking anything that isn’t water and brushing or flossing. If you fall short of those hours consistently, the treatment slows down and you may need to repeat a stage.
How long do clear aligners take to work?
You’ll usually spot visible movement within a few months. Full treatment typically takes 6 to 18 months depending on the case, and your dentist will give you a personalised timeline after your initial scan rather than working from generic estimates.
Do clear aligners hurt?
Most patients describe aligners as mildly uncomfortable rather than painful, mainly during the first 24 to 48 hours after switching to a new set as your teeth respond. That gentle pressure is the treatment working. Compared to fixed metal braces, aligners are usually a much smoother experience with no wires to catch or brackets to clean around.
